Even though Amazonite is named after the Amazon River due to its rich, watery hues, it is actually not found near the Amazon. The closest Amazonite can be found to its namesake is in Minas Gerais, Brazil.
The bright green to bluish-green stone was also a favorite among the ancient Egyptians. The gold death mask found in King Tutankhamun’s tomb was adorned with Amazonite inlays. Referred to as the “Stone of Hope,” Amazonite has long been revered for attracting hope and faith to those who wear it.
Please note: As this is a natural crystal/stone, tumbles will vary in colour and pattern. Picture is an example only. I will select a tumble for you.
